- The Path of the Christian Mystic (Coming into the Light - Part I) -
Government, culture, and institutionalized religion – stolen freedom and the closed mind. Traditions and doctrines of men
Misconceptions embraced by the Gentile converts: Jews rejected Jesus, Ebionite/Nazirenes were heretics, and God abandoned Israel. Severance from the Spiritual essence of the Word of God
The sin of Judas, interpreting and attempting to practice religion outwardly rather than within (seeking the Kingdom on God in the physical). The purely Spiritual religion of Jesus, manifesting the Kingdom within
Nazirene Gospel – pre-existence and transmigration of the soul, condemnation of killing and eating flesh (error associated with the OT ritual sacrifice), consecration of the body and mind
Seeking genuine Truth. Stages of development and the process of Transformation. The importance of faith. Trials tests, obstacles, “birth pangs”
One Source of genuine Knowledge. Without Divine Providence we can go no where and without our own agonizing effort we are not worthy of discipleship (merging Providence and freewill)
We can never conceive man’s higher reality
and move on to perfection so long as our mind remains chained to what is
false by virtue of its being a pattern, because of its incompletion.
Directly confronting reality, the absolute need for genuine efforts toward self-examination. Where do our thoughts, beliefs and opinions originate?
Faith and belief. Disinformation and lack of knowledge makes us vulnerable – test and prove all things
The religious insurance policy, Christianity corrupted
Diversity, division, and conflict – each sect of Christianity places emphasis on one series of Biblical statements over the others (ignoring that which does not support their pre-defined doctrine)
Pre-Ordination and Freewill – the Christian perspective that God picks and chooses at random the fate of all men. Atrocities and barbaric nature of the literal ‘god’ of the Old Testament. Is civilized man more merciful than the Creator?
