The
Soul that Evolves to Perfection – Christianity and Reincarnation (The
Unanswerable Question - Part I) -
- The Prodigal Son and the Path of the Soul. The reality
of the pre-existent Soul, the mandate for Perfection, and Reincarnation
Do Christians Derive their Doctrines of Belief from the
Bible?:
- The beliefs of the average Christian oppose what the
Bible actually teaches. Paradoxical nature of Scripture – Divine Providence
or Freewill? The nature and purpose of this Life
- Jesus was not all-inclusive (teaching parables to the
masses). Only those that were pre-selected will inherit the promise of
Salvation (John 12:37-40)
Truth can never oppose Truth!
- Rev. Charles Spurgeon (two lines of Truth in the
Bible). Merging the two Truths into Harmony – Truth can never oppose Truth
and we cannot chose to believe one over the other
- Levels of maturity and achievement
- Did the Jews and Romans Kill Christ (the Hand of God
moving upon the hearts and minds of the people). How could Judas be held
responsible for what God brought about (Luke 22:3). God Harding the
Pharaoh’s heart (Rom. 9:17) – Reality of the OT
- Are the people that God chooses not to save going to
burn in Hell? The example of Saul/Paul – does God indiscriminately chose who
he will have mercy on? Is God this unfair? – Questions Christians should
consider when considering Freewill and Predestination as it relates to who
will be Saved.
- Life is controlled by God (Prov. 20:24) and man was
predestined prior to Creation (Eph. 1:4-5). Christianity’s absurd view of
God – Is man more moral than God? Modern Christianity attempts to soften the
message of the Scriptures to make God all-inclusive
- God is the All-Pervading Power that controls all
things (Biblical Portrayal) – Who created and controls evil? (Amos 3:6, Isa.
45:7)
- The condemnation ‘evil’ – condemnation of the Will of
God. Ignorance, Sin, and the Reformation – Calvin, questioning the
Scriptures or the Hand of God is a sin (questioning Divine Providence).
Luther – the condemnation of Reason
- The Anti-Gnostic foundation of Modern Christian
Doctrine – man cannot be certain of anything, should not question, and must
always have blind faith. Luther’s doctrine of faith and Calvin’s
Preordination – the foundation of Protestant theology. Mankind reduced to
puppets on a stage. Doctrines of Desperation – the irrational and
superstitious mindset of the Dark Ages
- Resolution to the Paradox – Freewill and Preordination
- The nature and conditions of life – the Perfection and
return of the Prodigal Sons
The Early Church on Predestination and Reincarnation –
- Origen – In the beginning all souls were equal, their
place in life is the result of the exercise of their own freewill and is
arranged “according to merit.” Each Soul comes into life weakened by past
defeat or strengthened by past victory
- The Natural Laws of Creation – our deeds and
accomplishments remain with us and will be returned to us in the future (“as
ye Sow, so shall ye Reap”)
- Experiential Knowledge (John 8:31-32) – to Know Truth
(as Adam “knew” Eve). Man’s true potential. Spiritualization of the body and
mind
- The nature of the Soul and stages of Birth. Expanding
one’s vision of life and self – seeking within. Transformation of the
physical body, consecrated ground. We make progress by making the most with
what we have been given (Parable of Talents)
